Why Halifax Viewers Choose IPTV
Halifax is on Atlantic time, one hour ahead of Toronto and Montreal. Shows and games from Central Canada start an hour later here, so a 7 p.m. Eastern game begins at 8 p.m. in Halifax. Set your program guide to Atlantic time and every listing matches your local clock.
The region’s weather can be rough, with nor’easters and coastal storms through the winter. IPTV has no dish to realign and no outdoor equipment: as long as your internet works, your channels do too.
Halifax is also a university city and a growing destination for newcomers. Students, young professionals and families can all watch Canadian, US, French and international channels with one subscription, with no contract.

Three tips for Atlantic viewers.
Atlantic time guide
Set the time zone or EPG offset in your player app to Atlantic so the guide is not one hour behind.
Student apartments
Shared Wi-Fi in student buildings gets busy at night. Use the 5 GHz band or plug in with a cable, and pick a 3-month plan if you only stay for a term.
Outside the city
In rural Nova Scotia on fixed wireless or satellite internet, start in HD and test during the evening before choosing 4K.

IPTV Halifax: Common Questions
Does it work with Eastlink or Bell internet?
Yes. Any home connection with about 10–15 Mbps per screen for HD (25 Mbps for 4K) works. You keep your current provider.
How do I set the guide to Halifax time?
In your player app’s settings, choose the Atlantic time zone or set the EPG offset so the guide matches local time.
Do storms affect IPTV?
Not directly. IPTV has no dish, so wind and snow do not affect it. If a storm knocks out your internet or power, service returns as soon as your connection does.
I am a student here for one term. Which plan should I pick?
The 3-month plan at $29.99 CAD fits a single term. There is no contract or automatic renewal.
Do you cover the rest of Atlantic Canada?
Yes. IPTV works anywhere you have home internet, including New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.
